We moved howzer.ai onto a global edge network. Pages load from the nearest location instead of one server somewhere, every change gets its own preview link, and downloads download instead of opening in a tab.

A marketing site has one job on the technical side: be fast and be there. This one is now served from an edge network, which means the page comes from a location near you rather than from a single machine that might be a continent away. The site is also built into plain files ahead of time, so there is no server to keep alive and nothing to fall over at an inconvenient moment.
From a change to your browser
What actually improved
- Time to first byte dropped for every static page, most noticeably far away from central Europe.
- Every proposed change gets its own preview link, so a wording fix can be looked at before it is live.
- Images, fonts and scripts are cached for a year and never re-downloaded. Page content is cached briefly so a correction goes out within minutes.
- A download link now downloads the file. It used to open a PDF in a tab, which is not what anyone clicking Download expects.
- The mobile menu closes when you tap outside it or press escape, which sounds trivial until it does not work.
What is next for the site
- A feed you can subscribe to, so releases turn up in your reader.
- A longer-form writing format for guides.
- A small status badge showing whether everything is healthy.
