What it actually takes to put Howzer inside your own network: no traffic leaving the building, connectors behind your firewall, your own encryption keys, and a working setup inside four days.

When the data is regulated, the question is never which features you get. It is where the processing happens and who holds the keys. Howzer is built to answer that the boring way: everything runs inside your own network, nothing leaves it by default, and the encryption keys stay yours.

The four days

  • Day 0: security review and a walkthrough of exactly where each piece of data goes.
  • Day 1: connect a shared mailbox and the ticketing system inside the private network, switch on removal of personal data.
  • Day 2: define who approves what, set the routing deadlines, export the audit trail to your own security monitoring.
  • Day 3: validate against a known set of examples and go live on one channel.

What that setup gives you

  • Sign-in through Microsoft Entra ID, with user and group sync, so access follows your existing directory.
  • Personal data removed at the point of arrival, with retention windows you set.
  • Encryption keys held in your own key vault and rotated per environment on your schedule.
  • Private subnets, no outbound traffic unless you explicitly allow a specific destination.
  • Permanent, tamper-evident records of approvals, prompts, responses and policy changes.
If one particular service genuinely needs to reach the internet, that stays an explicit, policy-gated exception rather than a default anybody forgot to close.

What we learned in the first week

Two things showed up quickly. High-risk items surfaced sooner, which was the point, and approvals needed noticeably less back and forth once the playbooks were in place. Throughput stayed steady through bursts. An air-gapped variant, with no network path at all, followed later.
