Why we are building Howzer

Service teams are not careless. They are outnumbered. We think the answer is a system that reads every message properly and hands the human a clear picture, not one that answers on their behalf.

By Howzer Team, Founders · Company ·

Every day, service teams work through hundreds or thousands of messages. Each one carries intent, a mood, some degree of urgency, and occasionally a real problem for the company. Most of that goes unread in any meaningful sense, not because nobody cares, but because nobody has ninety seconds per message to think about it.

The problem is not that companies do not care. It is that the volume makes it impossible to care consistently.

What we kept hearing

We spent time with service leads at mid-size and large companies across Germany, and the pattern repeated everywhere. The teams were fast and they were blind. Replies went out quickly, but nobody had a structured view of tone, cause or risk. Escalations were noticed late. Patterns took weeks to become visible, by which point they were no longer patterns but incidents.

The tools on offer sat at two extremes. Keyword tagging, which is too shallow to tell a complaint from a mention of a complaint. Or full chatbot automation, which no regulated industry is going to point at its own customers. Nothing in between read every message carefully and then handed a person the picture.

So that is what we built

Howzer does not talk to your customers. It reads what they wrote and answers four questions before anyone opens the ticket. How do they feel, what are they actually feeling, what went wrong underneath, and how much is at stake here.

  • Analysis, not automation. Every message is understood, none is answered without a person.
  • Personal data is removed before any model sees the text.
  • The whole thing runs on your infrastructure.
  • The agent decides. Howzer informs.

German first, and deliberately so

We started with German because German customer feedback is genuinely hard: compound words that carry a whole sentence, the gap between formal and informal address, and complaints phrased so indirectly that an English-first model reads them as neutral. A model that handles German well handles most things well.

And we started self-hosted, running inside your own environment with nothing leaving it. For a regulated industry that is not a preference, it is the entry ticket. A hosted option comes once the pipeline has proven itself under real load.
